The lush botanical gardens were one of the first projects undertaken by the French in 1864 after the establishment of Cochinchina and were the finest gardens in Asia at the time. As you enter the gates of the Gardens two inspiring architectural feats await you, the History Museum and the Temple of King Hung Vuong. The stunning Sino-French style building which houses the History Museum was built in 1929, some say the architecture of the building outshines the museum inside. The Temple opposite to the museum is in tribute to the Hung Kings who are said to be the first rulers of Vietnam before the Chinese invaded. This forms our focus and back drop for a gala evening.The area between the botanical gardens, History Museum and the Temple of King Hung is a lush open area lined with giant tropical trees that thrive amid manicured lawns and flowerbeds. The area is decorated with hundreds of candles, fire torches and fairy lights draped from the canopy of frangipani trees above. The Hung King Temple

Housed in a beautiful French colonial classic yellow and white villa complex with modest Chinese influences is the Fine Arts Museum, filled with contemporary art. An outdoor sculptor courtyard in the middle of the building seats our guests. Guests arrive and are greeted by staff in black ‘Ao Dais’ and the noise of drums as they enter the grounds. After walking up the candle lit staircase, the guests enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the main gallery surrounded by modern Vietnamese art and Art Nouveau windows and floors. The Ho Chi Minh City Museum was built during the French colonial era and was originally the residence of high-ranking French colonial officers. Called Gia Long Palace before the fall of Saigon it was the last residence of the President of the South Republic of Vietnam, Ngo Dinh Diem from 1962, until his assassination one year later.Today, the original neo classical building still stands and now exhibits a wide range of artefacts and memorabilia, mostly depicting the rise of Communism and the people’s revolution that followed French and American intervention.The impressive French architecture and intimate layout of the building, with its sweeping staircase, is ideal for a more ‘chic’ 1920’s or 1930’s themed evening, together with opulent lighting, jazz, chill out lounges and classic black and white table settings. Although the dining area is small (only comfortably seating 50 guests), it can be used for a larger stand up cocktail function. The outdoor grounds with its 1960’s era military planes and tanks also makes for an interesting location for pre dinner drinks with an historical emphasis on Saigon’s turbulent past.

Lying some 45 minutes drive to District 9 of Ho Chi Minh City, Buu Long temple has to be the city’s most striking, if not slightly obscure, religious buildings as it incorporates architectural elements from Thailand, Myanmar, India and Vietnam itself.Constructed in 1942, Buu Long Temple sits on one of the few hills in the otherwise flat area upon which Ho Chi Minh City is located. From the upper terraces of the Gotama Cetiya Stupa visitors have magnificent views across Ho Chi Minh City with the tall towers of the centre. Beautifully and tastefully lit at night we arrive to the tree lined courtyard as local resident monks stand on the balconies and chant. The group stand in silence as they are blessed with a simple but elegant ritual led by the monks of the temple.A catered dinner is held in the second courtyard with the temple as a back drop, being the perfect staging ground for the evening’s entertainment. Considering the sensitive, religious surroundings, we are limited to traditional dance and music entertainment for the night but this is a highly special location that requires permission from the head monk to host this event, providing a rich cultural experience that is far removed from the norm.

The Field

Vietnam’s staple diet is based on rice, with many of its traditions and customs derived from the livelihood of the farmer and their everyday village community. There is nothing more visually striking in Vietnam than its vast swathes of deep green rice fields in the lead up to the harvest season of the south.By creating a private village community in the surroundings of these fields, we are transporting your guests back to world where the rice harvest was (and still is) considered the event of the year for the local inhabitants.Surrounded by ambient lighting, the area is transformed into a microcosm of all things Vietnamese, from children on buffalos, to women carrying produce on their yolks, market stalls, arts and crafts, fishermen on their sampans in the river, outdoor show cooking, religious blessings, traditional games, children singing and even a striking fashion performance along a bamboo boardwalk.The guests may be dining in the middle of a rice field, however, the arrangements afford them the comfort of quality cuisine and dining. Please note that this event is a very rare arrangement for incentive programs due to the high costs of preparation and construction and will only appeal to those on a particularly high budget. Hoi An is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this special World Heritage site.The town is a distinct example of a traditional trading port in South-East Asia which has been completely and assiduously preserved: it is the only town in Viet Nam that has survived intact in this way. Most of the buildings are in the traditional architectural style of the 19th and 20th centuries and are aligned along narrow lanes to include many religious buildings, such as pagodas, temples, meeting houses, etc., which relate to the development of a port community.Hoi An’s rich trading lifestyle, religion, customs and cuisine have been preserved, allowing the town to now become one of South East Asia’s most popular destinations.The Streets of Hoi An event is an evening for clients looking for a more casual, yet authentic dining experience outside of the hotel and main restaurants. The Streets of Hoi An

Hoi An's Confucian temple is located at the intersection of Trần Hưng Đạo and Lê Quý Đôn streets at the northwest edge of the old city.Behind an impressive gate emblazoned with Chinese ‘chu nho’ characters that simply translate as 'Confucius Temple', this magnificent temple to the west of all the action is a colourful explosion of ceramic tiles. Look out for the spirit wall across the bridge that depicts a ky lan, a mythical chimerical creature often depicted in Confucian temples. At the rear is an effigy of Confucius (Khong Tu), venerated in the 'Great Achievement Hall’.Walking across the bridge a moat is filled with floating candles guiding guests into the front courtyard, named the House of Ceremonies which is physically attached to the sanctuary of Confucius just behind it.Pre dinner drinks and canapés can be served in front of the ornately lit temple itself before moving to the rear where a U-shaped courtyard containing dormitories and lecture halls for the students who once studied here, is used as a more private setting for the dinner event. The setting is colourful but elegant and, as the temple sits just outside the confides of the old town, it is peaceful and devoid of crowds with a blanket open space that allows creativity and audio visual displays to flourish.

Van Mieu Confucius Temple

A private pool villa is the setting for an illustrious event on the sands of Hoi An beach. Pathways lit by a hundred candles guide guests through to the grounds of a villa where a single violinist in white serenades upon arrival. Walking through the villa to the poolside showcases the spectacle of the setting. A 1.5 metre floral display of the client’s company name stands as a backdrop to the ocean in front.At the grass area on the sides of the villa entertainment comes in the parade of LED dancers performing in darkness, seemingly lighting up areas of the space with electric coloured human figures.A long table dressed in black silk and stylish white wooden chair set the scene for dinner. Independently named custom menus are provided along with initial embedded cloth napkins for that intimate touch, carefully placed among a bed of luxurious flower arrangements and candelabrums. 

Large floral displays hang from an overhead truss in which an elegant chandelier provides the central point over the long table as a string quartet dressed in white entertain.Once dessert is ready, the lights turn off and drummers announce a parade of ladies dressed in white ‘ao dai’ with glowing conical hats coming in from the beach. The magnificent 900-seat Municipal Theatre was built in 1911 and is a jewel of French colonial architecture.Originally modeled as a smaller version of the Great Paris Opera House, it was from the balcony of this wonderfully restored French colonial building that the Viet Minh-run committee of citizens announced that it had taken over the city on 16 August 1945. Today the venue plays host to a variety of international acts from ballet, jazz to symphony performances and even local plays and dramas. Arguably Vietnam’s most prestigious and elegant venue, the Hanoi Grand Opera House is the piece de resistance for any Vietnam incentive program. On arrival, guests enter the Opera House and the Grand Lobby in the light of candelabrum to enjoy pre-dinner cocktails. Then it’s time for the performance. Enter the audience hall to enjoy an exclusive viewing of the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra. The Grand Opera House

Located among rich tropical vegetation lies one of Hanoi’s architectural gems, the distinctly blended influences of both the French and the Vietnamese at the Hanoi History Museum. Founded in the 1930’s be l’Ecole Francaise d’Extreme Orient the museum depicts Vietnam’s ancient history from 1400 through to 1945 and its tumultuous path to independence.On arrival (optional) a lion dance greets the group as they walk through the tree laden walkways through to thegardens and courtyard of the museum. The History Museum

One of the oldest sights in Hanoi is the Temple of Literature, also called Van Mieu in Vietnamese. The "temple" was founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, and is dedicated to the Chinese philosopher Confucius. Six yearslater, Vietnam's first university was founded here to teach the children of royalty and aristocracy (generally calledmandarins). In 1484, another Emperor Le Thanh Tong had stele erected in one of the courtyards to record the statistics and achievements of those who received doctorates from the university.The school continued until Emperor Gia Long transferred its functions to the new capital at Hue in 1802. On arrival the temple is lit in a backdrop of soft light and religious colors. Ladies in ao dai’s to escort the group up the stairs, lit by torches and candles, through to the main courtyard. Coloured lanterns light the courtyard and during the sumptuous catered dinner of traditional Vietnamese cuisine, guests are entertained by music and dance performances with arrangements from the North, South and Central Vietnamese provinces.The short walk to the dining venue (50 metres) is draped with huge colourful festival flags and torches. The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long was constructed earliest by the Ly dynasty in 1010 and remained the seat of the Vietnamese court until 1810, when Hue became the capital city. The royal palaces and other various structures were largely destroyed by the colonial French in the late 19th century. Some structures remain such as Doan Mon gate and the Flag Tower of Hanoi, as well as the steps of Kinh Thiên Palace and the Hậu Lâu (Princess' Palace).The Vietnamese military command under General Giap, had its headquarters in the citadel in the building known as D67. An underground tunnel enabled the military to flee to other parts in case of a raid. It remained under military command until 2010 when it was inscribed as a World Heritage site and is now open to the public as ongoing archeological digs occur.The courtyard facing the Doan Mon gate is wide and extensive and provides the ideal space for a large group to dine within the gates and its walls. The size and the space of the venue allows for a range of entertainment and visual options, although the setting lends itself far more to traditional and cultural performances
