UNDER WORLD HERITAGE RESTRICTIONS
The ‘blue’ coated pagoda of Le Nghia sits in the heart of old town Hoi An and yet, remains secluded and rarely visited.
The courtyard allows a group of 80 guests to dine on black dressed tables and chairs highlighted by hundreds of candles and the fragrance of white frangipani and scented jasmine floral displays. Warm and evocative up lighting further enhances the motifs of the pagoda’s facade and its striking blue walls.
A small, but natural covered stage is the ideal setting for a classic quintet or jazz band and elegant Vietnamese dancing in delicate white ’ao dai’. The location is also the ideal settling for a modern take on a Vietnamese fashion show. Le Nghia pagoda is a heritage protected venue space that requires special permission but is the ideal staging ground for an intimate, culturally rich and elegant evening event that summarises the beauty of the destination perfectly.

RICE CROP - APRIL TO JULY & AUGUST TO SEPTEMBER. AVOID WET SEASON MID SEPT TO EARLY NOVEMBER
Vietnam’s staple diet is based on rice, with many of its traditions and customs derived from the livelihood of the farmer and their everyday village community. There is nothing more visually striking in Vietnam than its vast swathes of deep green rice fields in the lead up to the harvest season of the south.
By creating a private village community in the surroundings of these fields, we are transporting your guests back to world where the rice harvest was (and still is) considered the event of the year for the local inhabitants.
Surrounded by ambient lighting, the area is transformed into a microcosm of all things Vietnamese, from children on buffalos, to women carrying produce on their yolks, market stalls, arts and crafts, fishermen on their sampans in the river, outdoor show cooking, religious blessings, traditional games, children singing and even a striking fashion performance along a bamboo boardwalk.
The guests may be dining in the middle of a rice field, however, the arrangements afford them the comfort of quality cuisine and dining. Please note that this event is a very rare arrangement for incentive programs due to the high costs of preparation and construction and will only appeal to those on a particularly high budget. It is also restricted to the rice crop season of central Vietnam.

RICE GROWING OR HARVEST SEASON
Nestled on the outskirts of Hoi An town lies ‘the Field’ - a private setting overlooking the Thu Bon river and adjacent rice fields.
The Field’s lush tropical environment with palm trees, rich vegetation and open green expanse is the perfect hideaway from the town allowing for private morning, afternoon and evening events.
On the grounds is a bamboo house beside the river with the capacity of 100 persons, a main house – overlooking the rice fields, bar and lounge area, a bamboo gazebo on the lake, and a large grass area which we recommend for a private event.
The space and set up is particularly ideal for a late afternoon gathering as the sun sets for the day and therefore can be considered as a pre dinner event, or a stand alone casual evening function.
A Vietnamese street food buffet set up can also be arranged and is best suited to an evening event.

ACTUAL STREET LOCATION DEFINED BY THE AUTHORITIES
Hoi An is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this special World Heritage site.
The town is a distinct example of a traditional trading port in South-East Asia which has been completely and assiduously preserved: it is the only town in Viet Nam that has survived intact in this way. Most of the buildings are in the traditional architectural style of the 19th and 20th centuries and are aligned along narrow lanes to include many religious buildings, such as pagodas, temples, meeting houses, etc., which relate to the development of a port community.
Hoi An’s rich trading lifestyle, religion, customs and cuisine have been preserved, allowing the town to now become one of South East Asia’s most popular destinations.
The Streets of Hoi An event is an evening for clients looking for a more casual, yet authentic dining experience outside of the hotel and main restaurants. Although we utilise a private street for the event, the overall buzzing atmosphere of Hoi An at night, tends to bring guests closer to the town’s colourful society of street life and street cuisine. The event presents Vietnamese culture through its past but with modern, contemporary twists such as LED drummers and ao dai parade as well as chic Vietnamese fashion with models driven along the street on rickshaw.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES
Hoi An's Confucian temple is located at the intersection of Trần Hưng Đạo and Lê Quý Đôn streets at the northwest edge of the old city.
Behind an impressive gate emblazoned with Chinese ‘chu nho’ characters that simply translate as 'Confucius Temple', this magnificent temple to the west of all the action is a colourful explosion of ceramic tiles. Look out for the spirit wall across the bridge that depicts a ky lan, a mythical chimerical creature often depicted in Confucian temples. At the rear is an effigy of Confucius (Khong Tu), venerated in the 'Great Achievement Hall’.
Walking across the bridge a moat is filled with floating candles guiding guests into the front courtyard, named the House of Ceremonies which is physically attached to the sanctuary of Confucius just behind it.
Pre dinner drinks and canapés can be served in front of the ornately lit temple itself before moving to the rear where a U-shaped courtyard containing dormitories and lecture halls for the students who once studied here, is used as a more private setting for the dinner event. The setting is colourful but elegant and, as the temple sits just outside the confides of the old town, it is peaceful and devoid of crowds with a blanket open space that allows creativity and audio visual displays to flourish.

PRIVATE LOUNGE AREA OF THE RESORT
A private pool villa is the setting for an illustrious event on the sands of Hoi An beach. Pathways lit by a hundred candles guide guests through to the grounds of a villa where a single violinist in white serenades upon arrival. Walking through the villa to the poolside showcases the spectacle of the setting. A 1.5 metre floral display of the client’s company name stands as a backdrop to the ocean in front.
At the grass area on the sides of the villa entertainment comes in the parade of LED dancers performing in darkness, seemingly lighting up areas of the space with electric coloured human figures.
A long table dressed in black silk and stylish white wooden chair set the scene for dinner. Independently named custom menus are provided along with initial embedded cloth napkins for that intimate touch, carefully placed among a bed of luxurious flower arrangements and candelabrums.
Large floral displays hang from an overhead truss in which an elegant chandelier provides the central point over the long table as a string quartet dressed in white entertain.
Once dessert is ready, the lights turn off and drummers announce a parade of ladies dressed in white ‘ao dai’ with glowing conical hats coming in from the beach. Each one carries a yolk (Vietnamese baskets), filled with dessert for the close of the evening. As they gather around the tables, waiters serve the final dish delivered in traditional market style.
This exclusive arrangement and set up has been created by Asia Concierge to set new levels of style and creativity to the events on offer in the region.

ARRIVE FOR PRE DINNER DRINKS AT SUNSET OVERLOOKING THE RICE FIELDS
In the late afternoon we depart on a convoy of jeeps through the streets of rural Hoi An and into the countryside on a beautiful journey of discovery. This is the perfect time for our ride as the late afternoon light enhances the colours and there is often plenty of activity in the fields.
We drive through residential districts and villages and follow waterways lined with aquatic palms.
Finally we reach our end destination. Tok is a wonderfully unique and elegant restaurant serving beautifully prepared fusion cuisine using the finest local ingredients. Literally in the middle of the rice fields, the location is sublime.
We recommend arriving towards sunset to relax on one of the lounge beds on the edge of the fields with the beverage of your choice and watch the sun melt into the horizon. Then investigate the creative menu and enjoy Tok’s laid back fine dining experience on the terrace, under the stars.
The venue can be booked exclusively to include the outdoor lounge area overlooking the rice fields, the main dining hall and the the upper level terrace and private balcony.
A private DJ can compliment the party atmosphere or build a platform across the rice fields to stage a range of performances.
